The load exerted on the stationary grip is sensed by a load cell and indicated by a digital load indicator. The controller is microprocessor based and has the facility of over load protection, peak hold, stop the machine when the sample is break and auto calibration. The load directly indicated in kilograms or Newton.

                The elongation of the test specimen is measured on a digital indicator fixed on the frame of the tester, which indicates the distance between the grips.

                The variable speed model speed is very by a knob fixed on the panel and the speed also digitally indicated on the control panel. Different model have speeds suitable for testing different materials.

                The frame of the tester fabricated from heavy mild steel sections to give the required rigidity and strength. Various built in safety arrangements such as over travel protection are provided.

 The “ADVANCE TECHO”Indentation Hardness Tester for polyurethane foam consists of a circular indentor which can be pressed against the foam block under test, a motorized arrangement to move the indentor, and a load indicating arrangement to indicate the load being exerted by the indentor on the foam block at any instant.

The indentor is in shape of a circular disc and is mounted on a self-aligning ball bearing to ensure that it sits parallel to the surface of the test specimen. It is mounted at the lower end of a screw, which can be raised or lowered at a specified speed with the help of a motor and worm reduction gearbox. An arrangement to stop the motor at extreme ends of travel of the indentor is provided.

The downwards movement of the indentor is measured with the help of a pre-set type digital displacement meter, which can be set at any desired value to stop the motor automatically at a desired displacement. A linear scale is provided to indicate the gap between the bottom face of the indentor and the loading platform. The indentor can also be moved by hand to apply the initial load.

The load platform is made of cast aluminium and has a large number of holes arranged in a grid for rapid escape of air during compression. It is mounted on shear beam type load cell. A digital load indicator is provided to indicate the load acting on the test specimen.

The equipment is finished in blue metallic painting and bright chrome / zinc plating to give it a corrosion resistant finish.

               The Limited Oxygen Index Apparatus consist of a test chimney made of borosilicate glass (size is 100mm internal diameter & 500mm long) suppurated by the metallic base and hook with the help of the metallic pillar. The mixture of nitrogen and oxygen is released from the bottom of tube. The tube is filled with glass beads for mixing and evenly distributing the gas mixture. The specimen holder, which holds the test specimen, made of U shape and fixed at the center of the chimney. There is the porous screen mounted below the level of the specimen holder, to prevent falling combustion debris from fouling the gas entry and distribution paths. The ability of light leathers such as those used in shoe uppers, gloves and garments to with stand repeated flexing without cracking is determined with the help of a flexometer. In this test, the test specimens in the shape of rectangular pieces are folded and clamped at each end to maintain them in a folded position in a set of grips, one of which is fixed while the other is able to oscillate. The movement of the oscillating grip causes the fold in the test specimen to run along its fold. This operation is carried out repeatedly and the test specimens inspected periodically to Asses the damaged produced.

The Advance Techo Flexometer is built on a rigid metallic base plate. The test specimen is held between a pair of stationary and oscillating grips. The grips are specially designed to enable quick fixing and removal of test specimen and are shaped to meet the specification.

The motion of the oscillating grips is given through a link mechanism, which oscillates the shaft carrying the grips. All the pivot points of the apparatus have ball bearing to ensure the long life and smooth operation.

The driving force to the link mechanism is given through a ¼ hp single-phase motor and two sets of V-pulleys. A six digit even electronic counter with key reset and backup memory is provided to count the total number of flexing cycles undergone by the test specimens.

The apparatus is finished in bright chrome/ zinc plating and NC based painting to give it a corrosion resistance finish
