Glow wire test apparatus is designed and developed to test resistance to flammability of any material. It is checked on the parameter of IEC 60695-2-10 2000-10. Our glow wire test apparatus consists of a nichrome glow wire of 4 mm diameter. This glow wire test apparatus is available in varied technical specifications. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

·         Glow wire: Nickel / Chromium wire (80/20) of 4 mm diameter

·         Thermocouple: Fine wire chromel / alumel thermocouple of approximately 0.5 mm diameter

·         Temperature range: Ambient to 999ºC

·         Temperature control: Digital temperature controller having a resolution of 1ºC. Accuracy within ± 10º C for temperatures up to 750ºC, and within ± 15º C for temperatures above 750ºC

·         Timer: Digital timer of range 99.9 s having a resolution of 0.1 s, with three displays and push button controls to indicate various times

·         Depth of penetration of glow wire: Mechanically limited to 7 mm

·         Load on test specimen: Between 0.8 and 1.2 N, applied through dead weights
